Have you just adopted a puppy but your puppy just keeps on whining? Maybe your neighbors are very unhappy and are complaining to you? If your answer is yes, you are probably not sure what to do now. You still want to keep your puppy but the problems is, you don’t know how to stop him from whining.

How do you go about doing this? There are a few ways you can go about stopping your dog from whining. One of the ways is by the use of an electrical device that will emit a noise only the dog can hear that is not very pleasant. The other way to stop your dog from whining is to remain consistent with it to tell it to stop whenever you hear the dog beginning to whine.

The drawback is that you will need to be there all the time, or at the very least, most of the time. However, if you give it enough time, your dog may stay quiet and stop whining once and for all. Using Devices

It will not cost you a lot of money in order to purchase those devices that we have mentioned above. Also, the device is not going to hurt your pet dog. All it does is to give up some extremely unpleasant noise that dogs hate to hear. Just imagine yourself smoking. Every time you light up a cigarette, you will hear a loud piercing squeal. And you just cannot stand that sound and you don’t want to hear it anymore. Sooner or later, you will stop smoking so that you will not hear that noise again.

This is generally how that kind of devices work to stop your dog from whining. If you are not very certain about the devices or you do not like the idea of annoying your pet dog, or you are simply worried that those devices will harm your dog, then there are always alternatives you can consider to stop your dog from whining.

Consistency In Training

The other way to make your dog stop whining is to be there whenever he starts to whine. When it does, make a loud noise or tell him no. Do not ever hit the dog. You should never hit the animal no matter what behavior he engages in.

Hitting your dog is not an effective training method anyway. There are better methods you can use to stop your pet from whining besides hitting him. You can consider clapping your hands together or slapping a newsletter against your hand to stop any inappropriate behavior your dog engages in.

Dogs ears are very sensitive, which is why the above devices work so well, and while a newspaper slapping against a palm may not bother you, it definitely bothers the dog. Do this every time the dog whines and do it often. Remain consistent and pretty soon your dog will stop whining and you, and your neighbors, will have the peace you desperately deserve.
