The process of making a ceramic tile involves the mixing of clay with number of other minerals and water. This mixture is then heated at a high temperature to get it to solidify. The surface of ceramic tile becomes porous and for this reason it is sealed with a glaze. The ceramic tile gets it main design and texture due to this glazed surface.
